Terms of Use
Last updated: 28 September 2026
InspectaMate is operated by GoInspect Pty Ltd (ABN 83 617 630 814). These Terms of Use apply to your access to inspectamate.com and the InspectaMate inspection application (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you use InspectaMate for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to use it on that organisation’s behalf.
1. What InspectaMate provides
InspectaMate is software for recording inspections, managing defects, storing photographs and project information, and generating reports and exports. We may improve or change features over time.
InspectaMate provides a tool for your work. It does not carry out an inspection, verify information you enter, or certify that a property complies with any law, code or standard. You remain responsible for your inspections, professional judgments and reports.
2. Accounts and authorised users
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for giving access only to people authorised to view your projects and records.
If you manage an organisation’s account, you are responsible for assigning appropriate user roles and removing access when it is no longer needed. Tell us promptly at hi@inspectamate.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
3. Your inspection content
You retain ownership of the information, photographs, documents and other material you enter or upload (“Your Content”). You give us permission to host, store, process, display and transmit Your Content as needed to provide, secure and support the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload and use Your Content, including any personal information or photographs it contains. You are also responsible for checking the accuracy and completeness of reports before sharing or relying on them.
You control which authorised users can access your projects and who receives reports or exports you generate. Once a report or export is downloaded or shared outside InspectaMate, its further use is outside our control.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- upload content you have no right to use or disclose;
- infringe another person’s rights or break the law;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data;
- introduce malware or interfere with the Service’s operation; or
- copy, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the software except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
We may take reasonable steps to investigate misuse and protect the Service and its users.
5. Offline use and syncing
Some app features allow you to record information on your device while offline and sync it when you reconnect. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and checking that your work has synced before clearing local data, replacing your device or relying on another device to show the latest records.
If a sync error occurs, contact us before deleting the affected local data.
6. Plans, trials and payment
Available plans, prices, usage limits and trial conditions are those displayed when you sign up or agreed with you in writing. Prices are in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise. Any applicable GST will be shown when you subscribe or are invoiced.
A free trial ends according to the conditions stated when you sign up. We will not charge you for a paid plan unless you have provided a payment method and agreed to the applicable charges or separately accepted an invoice or quote.
For a paid plan, we will tell you the billing period and any recurring charges before you subscribe. If you exceed a plan limit, we will contact you about the available options and any proposed additional charges before applying them.
7. Changing or cancelling a plan
You may request a plan change or cancellation by emailing hi@inspectamate.com. There is no fixed contract term for standard monthly plans. A change or cancellation takes effect in accordance with the billing terms presented when you subscribed or any separate agreement with you.
If you have an Enterprise plan, its agreed quote or order terms may set out different billing and cancellation arrangements. Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Availability and support
We aim to keep InspectaMate available and working reliably, but maintenance, faults, internet outages and third-party services can affect access. We will take reasonable steps to address problems reported to us. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Support enquiries can be sent to hi@inspectamate.com.
9. Intellectual property
GoInspect Pty Ltd and its licensors own the InspectaMate software, website, branding and related materials, excluding Your Content. We give you a limited right to use the Service for your internal business purposes while you have an active account, subject to these terms.
You must not use the InspectaMate name or logo in a way that suggests our endorsement without our permission.
10. Privacy
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, available on the InspectaMate website.
11. Suspending access
We may temporarily restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a security threat, suspected misuse, a legal requirement or unpaid charges. Where practicable, we will tell you the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue. We will restore access when the reason for the restriction has been resolved.
12. Ending use and your data
You can stop using the Service and request account closure by emailing hi@inspectamate.com. Before closing an account, you should download any reports or data you need to retain.
Contact us if you need help accessing or exporting your data. We handle information remaining after account closure in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements.
13. Liability and Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are responsible for decisions made from your inspections and for reviewing information you enter into InspectaMate and reports you generate. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate information entered by users, unauthorised sharing by your users, or your failure to check that offline work has synced.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service changes. We will publish the updated terms with a new “Last updated” date and give reasonable notice of material changes. Changes will apply from the stated effective date. If a material change adversely affects your paid plan, you may cancel before it takes effect without an early termination fee.
15. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, subject to any law that applies regardless of this clause.
